Police say they arrested three men on suspicion of breaking into a downtown Long Beach home and robbing a victim at knifepoint.
The brazen robbery happened at about 9 a.m. Tuesday on Medio Street, just north of the intersection of East Ocean Boulevard and Alamitos Avenue, according to Long Beach police.
Investigators determined that several people “forcibly entered” a residence, one armed with a knife, and robbed the person living there, police said. They drove off in a vehicle before officers arrived.
Officers tracked the vehicle to Pacific Avenue just north of 10th Street and arrested the three men inside, police said.
All three were booked into jail on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime.
Jail records show that they were identified as 31-year-old Alfredo Santana Tellez, 38-year-old Samuel Fernando Vallez, both of Wilmington, and 41-year-old Anthony Ray Rojas, of Los Angeles. Each was being held on $100,000 bail.
Police did not disclose what was taken during the robbery or if the goods were recovered.
