As part of an ongoing investigation to heroin sales in Long Beach, the Long Beach Police Department served search warrants at four Los Angeles homes this week, resulting in the discovery of 12 pounds of drugs, $118,000 in cash and nine guns. Two men were also arrested during the operation.

LBPD Drug Investigations team were originally led to a house on Jaboneria Rd. in Bell Gardens, where on Tuesday, 21-year old Oscar Salmoran was arrested and three and a half pounds of heroin and two and a half pounds of crystal methamphetamines were confiscated.

Detectives were then led to three additional locations, all in the Highland Park area off of the 110 freeway. On Wednesday, 56-year-old Domingo Payan was arrested at the first residence and six pounds of heroin and $46,000 in cash were also confiscated. 

Two other locations, on the same street in Montecito Heights, produced $72,000 in cash and nine guns, but resulted in no arrests. 

Salmoran was booked for possession of controlled substances for sale, and is being held at the Long Beach City Jail without bail. Suspect Payan was arrested for possession of narcotics for sales, and was booked into the Long Beach City Jail on $100,000 bail.
