A 21-year-old Long Beach man was booked on DUI charges after crashing into an unoccupied police vehicle at the scene of a separate traffic collision early Saturday morning, according to the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD).

Authorities said Clint Parker was booked for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs after he allegedly failed to slow or stop his Nissan Altima and collided with the police vehicle, which had its overhead lights activated. No one was injured.

The incident happened at 1:21AM on Saturday, March 5 on the 3200 block of Long Beach Boulevard, near the city’s Wrigley neighborhood, said LBPD spokeswoman Marlene Arrona.

Police were investigating a single vehicle injury traffic collision at Spring Street and Long Beach Boulevard that happened at 11:53PM on Friday, March 4.

In that crash, arriving officers found an overturned Ford Mustang, Arrona said. Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) paramedics transported the driver of the Mustang to a local hospital. The driver’s condition was unknown, she said.
