A Long Beach man was charged with murder today in connection with the stabbing death of another man at a Santa Ana gas station over the summer.

Logan James Cunningham, 27, was scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon after being arrested Friday. He is being held on $1 million bail and faces a sentencing enhancement for personally using a deadly weapon.

Santa Ana authorities said Cunningham is suspected of fatally stabbing 40-year-old Costa Mesa resident Jason Paul Torres on August 7 at Shell gas station at 710 East Dyer Road.

Cunningham was arrested the next day by Long Beach police responding to a domestic disturbance call but was released as detectives continued their investigation into the stabbing, Santa Ana police said.
