UPDATE: Officials have identified the victim in a Monday afternoon murder-suicide in Long Beach as the stepdaughter of the shooter.
Tecia Robinson, 41, was fatally shot in the upper torso by her stepfather, 64-year-old Keenan Wynn, authorities said.
According to a statement from the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD), Robinson’s mother fled the trio’s home on the 2200 block of Eucalyptus Avenue when her husband, Wynn, attempted to shoot her and her daughter. The mother then called police, who responded to the residence at about 4:45PM.
Arriving officers entered the home after an unsuccessful attempt at contacting Wynn and found him and his stepdaughter with gun shot wounds.
Police delivered Robinson to nearby paramedics who declared her dead. Wynn was also declared dead at the scene as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
A motive for the shooting remains unclear. The investigation remains ongoing.
