UPDATE | Police arrested a Long Beach woman suspected of robbing a person at Drake Park Monday afternoon after witnesses reported seeing a person with a gun, authorities said.

Claudia Beatriz Lira, 30, was booked for robbery and battery, Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokeswoman Marlene Arrona said.

Officers responded to Drake Park at 1:30PM on Monday, October 5, to a person with a gun call and later determined a strong arm robbery happened in the park.

Officials said the loss was recovered and returned to the victim.

No shooting victim was located.

Lira is being held at Long Beach City Jail on $50,000 bail.

The investigation is ongoing.
