A Costa Mesa man who has coached volleyball at Long Beach City College (LBCC), Cal State Long Beach and various clubs in Orange County was arrested yesterday by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Special Victims Detail (SVD) and the OC Child Exploitation Task Force (OCCETF) for allegedly sending lewd videos of himself to a minor, according to the OCPD.
According to a release issued by the Sheriff’s Department, Troy Linehan Crutchfield, 26, was arrested at his residence in Costa Mesa as detectives served him a search warrant and is currently at Orange County Jail, with bail set at $100,000.
Lt. Mark Stichter said Crutchfield met the alleged victim online, and investigators believe there may be additional victims.
Crutchfield has taught private volleyball lessons in the past years. He has also taught at SCA Club Volleyball in Huntington Beach and Huntington Beach High School.
