Passhunae Nemiesha Ruff, 23, of Long Beach and Adrian Ramey Hall, 25, of Norwalk were booked on charges of attempted murder today. Bail has been set at $500,000, according to Orange County jail records.

The victim was stabbed at 4:00AM Monday at a Motel 6 at 2274 Newport Boulevard. He was hospitalized but is expected to survive.

According to Costa Mesa Police Lt. Paul Beckman, the victim, whose name has not been released, met Ruff at the motel and the two got into an argument about money. When Ruff tried to leave, the two got into a struggle as the victim attempted to take his money back from her.

Beckman alleged Ruff and Hall returned to the motel, confronted the victim, and then stabbed the individual.

The police recovered the knife in a trash can at a motel in Fullerton where Ruff and Hall were staying, said Beckman.
