Police arrested a 28-year-old man after getting a call about shots fired on the 200 block of E. 67th Street, near the interchange at the 710 and 91 freeways on Friday night, authorities said.

Officers did not find any victims who were shot, but found evidence of a shooting in the area, police spokeswoman Arantxa Chavarria said.

“Officers then located a parked vehicle with a firearm inside and a subject nearby,” Chavarria said.

Police arrested Elias Guerrero of Long Beach on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle and carrying a loaded firearm not registered to him, according to Chavarria.

He is being held at the Long Beach jail with a $35,000 bail.
