A man was killed in the city’s MacArthur Park neighborhood Saturday night during a possible gang-related shooting, according to the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD).

The incident occurred at about 9:55PM on November 5 on the 2300 block of Spaulding Street, officials stated.

Arriving officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper torso. The victim was transported to a local hospital by Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) personnel where he was pronounced dead.

Homicide detectives are investigating the incident as possibly gang-related.

The victim will be identified by the coroner’s office pending notification of kin.
