Police say they’re investigating a shooting in Long Beach’s Washington neighborhood that left a man wounded Wednesday night.
Officers were notified of the shooting around 11:15 p.m. and responded to the 1700 block of Henderson Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
There, officers found a man with non-life-threatening injuries, along with three other adults who had been shot at, police said.
The victims, according to the LBPD, told the officers that they were outside near the area of Henderson Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway when they were approached by an unknown vehicle with an unknown number of people inside.
A brief argument broke out between the victims and the people in the car, which escalated into the shooting, police said.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel transported the injured man to a local hospital for treatment, police said.
At the scene of the shooting, officers located evidence, including bullet casings.
No suspect information is currently available and the motive for the shooting is unknown, according to police.
