A man was struck during a possible gang-related shooting in Long Beach’s West Side on Saturday, according to the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD).

Police were dispatched to a shooting call at about 12:40AM on Saturday, February 5 on the 1900 block of West Wardlow Road, LBPD spokesman Brad Johnson said.

Arriving officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

“The uncooperative victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries,” Johnson said.

The incident is being investigated as possibly gang-related.
