One man was shot in the lower torso and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting in the MacArthur Park neighborhood of Long Beach early this morning, according to the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD).

Officers were dispatched at 1:59AM today to the 1500 block of Walnut Avenue regarding a hit shooting, LBPD officials stated.

Upon arrival, police located the male adult victim with a gunshot wound and transported him to a local hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
