A woman reported a shooting at 9:10 Tuesday morning in North Long Beach where only a home was hit, police said.

The woman told police she was in a vehicle with a man near Harding Street and Gardenia Avenue when he shot a gun out of the passenger side of the vehicle “for an unknown reason,” police spokeswoman Shaunna Dandoy said.

“The suspect exited the vehicle, fled the area on foot and is still outstanding,” she said.

The man and woman knew each other, police said, but it was so far unclear how.

After looking in the area, officers found a home that was hit by a bullet, but no one reported injuries, according to Dandoy. Police are still investigating, she said.
