Long Beach police were investigating a shooting in the Washington neighborhood where a witness told them they saw a man shoot at someone, authorities said.
Officers got to the 1700 block of Pine Avenue at about 7:15 p.m. and searched the area, police spokeswoman Shaunna Dandoy said. They found a home where a bullet had gone through the window, but no injuries were reported, she said.
Gang detectives responded to the scene, but both the suspect and victim are outstanding and police do not yet know the motive for the shooting, Dandoy said.
