A man was shot and wounded near the 91 Freeway in North Long Beach early Monday morning, officials said.
Police said they were called about the gunfire around 3:40 a.m. on Artesia Boulevard near Paramount Boulevard, but officers weren’t able to find the victim until he arrived at a local hospital. The man drove himself to the hospital after being shot in the upper body, LBPD spokesman Ivan Garcia said. He was in stable condition, according to Garcia.
Police said the reason for the shooting is unknown at this time, and no suspect description is currently available. Detectives are still investigation.
