A man was transported to a local hospital in serious condition after he was stabbed at a Metro rail station in Long Beach Friday afternoon, authorities said.
Police responding to the Anaheim Station, in the 1200 block of Long Beach Boulevard, at 12:50PM today found a man with a stab wound to his upper body.

Officers detained a man after witnesses pointed to him as a possible suspect. He was located near East Anaheim Street and Locust Avenue and subsequently positively identified and arrested, according to Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokesman Sgt. Brad Johnson.
Authorities said the motive for the stabbing is unknown at this time and it is unknown if it is gang-related.
The investigation remains ongoing.
