A man is being treated for non-life threatening injuries after being shot in the arm early Sunday in West Long Beach.

Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) officers arrived to the scene on the 1700 block of West 29th St. at around 1:30AM regarding an assault with a deadly weapon, said LBPD spokeswoman Marlene Arrona.

Arriving officers found a man who had sustained an apparent gunshot wound to the arm, and Long Beach Fire Department paramedics transported him to a local hospital, where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

No suspect information is currently available as the investigation remains ongoing.
