Police say a man was wounded in a shooting early this morning in the Alamitos Beach neighborhood.
The shooting happened at about 2:52 a.m. on East Fourth Street, just east of Bonito Avenue, according to Long Beach police.
Officers found a 35-year-old man lying in the street with a gunshot wound to his upper body, police said.
He was taken to a hospital in stable condition, police said.
Detectives were investigating what led up to the shooting, along with a potential motive.
No suspect information was immediately available.
