Gang detectives have arrested a 41-year-old Long Beach man they believe was involved in three shootings over the last two years, officials said. Nobody was hit by any of the gunfire, according to authorities.

Detectives arrested Benjamin Green on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a firearm and second-degree robbery after they served a search warrant at a home on Artesia Boulevard near Gale Avenue on Tuesday afternoon, according to police spokeswoman Shaunna Dandoy. During the search, they found a gun and ammunition, police said.

The first shooting connected to Green was on Jan. 20, 2018, police say. They allege Green robbed a man of cash in a home in the 200 block of West Artesia Boulevard before shooting at him and missing.

In the same area on April 27, detectives believe Green assaulted and shot at a man who was left with minor injuries to his upper body.

Months later, on May 30, police say Green shot at a man near the intersection of Paramount Boulevard and South Street during a road rage incident. The victim was not injured, Dandoy said.

Green was being held on $2 million bail Wednesday, according to authorities.
