Police spotted a driver in a stolen car and chased him along the 710 and 91 freeways in Long Beach until CHP officers arrested him in Orange County Friday morning, according to authorities.
The chase started when a driver in a truck refused to pull over near Cedar Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway around 8:30 a.m., Long Beach police spokesman Ben Hearst said. He was in a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of La Habra, Hearst said.

Police reported the driver was weaving in and out of lanes and sometimes ran red lights on surface streets before getting on the freeway.
LBPD handed off the pursuit to the CHP as it headed toward Orange County.
Live coverage from NBC4 showed the chase ending in Los Alamitos before 9:30 a.m. when the driver crashed and law enforcement tackled him as he tried to run.
“It appears CHP performed a PIT maneuver and took the suspect into custody after a short foot pursuit,” Hearst said.
