Police find casings, but no victims or suspects in North Long Beach shooting

A shooting in North Long Beach Saturday night didn’t turn up any suspects or victims but police did find several casings in the area, authorities said.

The shooting happened on the 400 block of 55th Street at about 11 p.m. on Feb. 9, according to Long Beach police officer Carlos Sandoval.

Responding officers found several casings in the area, he said.

The suspect or suspects appeared to have fled the scene before officers arrived. There were no reports of injuries or damages as a result of the shooting, Sandoval said.

The incident remains under investigation.
