Police say a man was fatally shot last night in North Long Beach, but few other details were immediately available.
The killing happened shortly before 7:30 p.m. Monday on East Artesia Boulevard between Cherry Avenue and Paramount Boulevard, according to Long Beach police.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a “life-threatening injury,” police said.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said. His name was withheld pending family notification.
The suspected shooter fled before officers arrived. A description of the shooter was not immediately available.
