Police say a man was stabbed to death in West Long Beach yesterday.
Shortly before 8:30 p.m. Monday, officers responded to the crime on Harbor Avenue near Pacific Coast Highway, according to Long Beach police.
When officers arrived, they found a man in his early 20s suffering from a life-threatening stab wound, police said.
Paramedics rushed him to a hospital, where he died. His name was withheld pending family notification.
Police said the assailant fled before officers arrived, and no further details were available.
Homicide detectives were investigating a potential motive.
