Long Beach police are investigating gun shots that were fired shortly after 2 a.m. Friday morning in West Long Beach, near Stephens Middle School, authorities said.

Officers found casings in the street near West 28th Street and Delta Avenue when they responded to a shots call, police spokeswoman Shaunna Dandoy said.

No one has reported any injuries or damage to nearby property and police do not have any suspect information, she said.
