No one was injured, but two cars were hit when a male suspect shot at a group of males in a neighborhood near South Wrigley on Saturday afternoon.

Officers were called to Hill Street and Earl Avenue about shots fired shortly after 3:20 Saturday afternoon. They found two vehicles that had been hit by bullets, but no victims, Detective Jennifer Arzola said.

“The preliminary investigation revealed an altercation occurred between two groups walking in the area,” Arzola said.

According to Arzola, an unidentified male suspect shot at another group of unidentified males. All the victims and suspects fled the area on foot and police do not know the motive for the shooting yet.

No injuries were reported.
