A man in the Washington neighborhood got in a fight with another man and sustained a deep cut to his face early Friday morning, police said.

Police were called to the scene at 1 a.m.

“The preliminary investigation determined the adult victim had been involved in a physical altercation with another adult male,” Detective Jennifer Arzola said in an email.

Paramedics brought the victim to the hospital where he is expected to survive his injuries.

Arzola said the victim was uncooperative with police and did not give more information. The motive and weapon are unknown and police are still investigating.
