Police are seeking the public’s help with information leading to the arrest of a man who robbed a woman at gunpoint in Long Beach near the Los Alamitos border Thursday night.

Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) officers responded to the 3200 block of El Dorado Drive around 9:28PM regarding the robbery, said LBPD spokeswoman Nancy Pratt.

An uninjured female victim told police that she was robbed at gunpoint for her purse, cash and cell phone when she was walking down the street.

The victim described the suspect as a tall black man in his 30s wearing a black and red tracksuit. His vehicle was described as a dark-colored SUV.

No further information is currently available, and the investigation is ongoing. We will update this story as we learn more.
