Authorities are investigating a shooting attack against a man believed to be rapper and music producer Slim 400 that left him with gunshot wounds to his upper body.

Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Spruce Street at about 8:15 p.m. Friday, in response to an “assault with a deadly weapon” call, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau reported.

The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and was rushed to an area hospital in fair condition, sheriff’s officials said.

He was believed to be Slim 400, a Compton artist who has worked with YG, according to multiple media reports and tweets.

A black vehicle is suspected to have been involved in the assault of the 31-year-old rapper, TMZ reported.
