Police in Seal Beach asked Tuesday for the public’s help finding a robber suspected of stealing three iPhones from a T-Mobile store.

Officers received a call about 7 p.m. Sunday reporting a robbery at the store at 13936 Seal Beach Blvd., which is near Leisure World.

On arrival, they began searching for the suspect, but he was not located, according to Sgt. Mike Henderson of the Seal Beach Police Department.

An investigation revealed a man entered the store and removed phones from a display and when an employee attempted to contact the man, he flashed a handgun concealed in his waistband, Henderson said. The man did not fire the weapon or point it at employees during the robbery, he said.

The suspect left the store and fled the scene in a dark, older-model Honda Civic, Henderson said.

The suspect was described as Hispanic, approximately 20 to 25 years old, 5-feet-4-inches tall and 190 to 210 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair worn in a short buzz-type haircut, Henderson said.

He was wearing a black baseball cap with a Michael Jordan emblem, a black, gray and white t-shirt with pink writing on the front and right sleeve, light-gray or faded black jeans, and white, gray and black Jordan “Pro Strong” shoes. He was wearing a gold or silver ring on his right ring finger, Henderson said.

Anyone with information on the incident was asked call Det. Jeff Gibson at 562-799-4100 ext. 1109.
