Police are investigating after someone started shooting inside a residence in North Alamitos Beach but apparently didn’t hit anyone.

Police said someone called them around 11 p.m. Sunday after hearing an argument followed by gunfire in a home on Almond Avenue near Fourth Street, Long Beach police spokeswoman Shaunna Dandoy said.

“Upon arrival, officers located a building that was struck by gunfire,” Dandoy said.

Police haven’t arrested anyone, and nobody has reported being wounded by the gunfire, she said.

Detectives are still investigating.
