Drive-by shooting in Downtown Long Beach leaves man wounded, police say

A 30-year-old man was sent to the hospital after a drive-by shooting in Downtown Long Beach early Sunday morning, Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman Daisy Paul said.

At around 3:13 a.m. on Pine Avenue near Broadway, the man was shot by a person from a passing vehicle, according Paul.

The man was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the lower body, Paul said.
