Man wounded in North Long Beach shooting

Police were investigating a shooting in North Long Beach after a victim was taken to a local hospital Sunday night, authorities said.

The shooting was reported at 9:50 p.m. Sunday after a good Samaritan took the man to a hospital with a gunshot wound to one arm, said Long Beach police Lt. Aaron Alu.

The victim told police he was shot in the 100 block of West 52nd Street, which is just west of Long Beach Boulevard, Alu said.

No suspect information was available.
