Long Beach police shut down Bellflower Boulevard near the 405 Freeway after a man, a woman and teen boy led Garden Grove police in a pursuit Friday morning, officials said.
The pursuit ended in a crash into a guardrail on the off ramp of the 405 Freeway at Bellflower Boulevard at about 10:40 a.m., police and witnesses said.
A man and a woman were arrested at the scene of the crash of the Honda Element, but a teenage boy fled on foot, leading to a short manhunt. A police helicopter announced over a loudspeaker that the boy was armed and possibly dangerous, according to witnesses.
The teen was found and arrested after police set a perimeter. No one reported injuries. It’s unclear why Garden Grove police were chasing the suspects.
