Long Beach police arrested a teen gang member suspected of firing a gun in the city’s Wrigley neighborhood Tuesday night.

Officers responded to the shooting on the 2000 block of Pine Avenue at 10:25PM, according to Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokesman Sgt. Brad Johnson.

Johnson said the immediate response by officers, and subsequent surrounding of the area, allowed them to find the fleeing suspect.

“Thanks to a quick response by officers and cooperative witnesses, the suspect was taken into custody without incident,” Johnson said.

No one was injured and no property was damaged during the shooting, however, a gun was recovered, according to officials.

Authorities did not release the name of the juvenile suspect.

The investigation remains ongoing.
