A shooting early Tuesday morning on East 14th Street in Long Beach resulted in a man being injured and transported to the hospital, Long Beach police announced.

According to Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokesperson Megan Zabel, officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of East 14th Street at 1:00AM Tuesday morning.

Upon their arrival, they found a male adult struck by gunfire on the street. He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Zabel said the motive is currently unknown and the incident is still under investigation.
