Two young men died and two women were injured Friday night after all were shot in the chest at a birthday celebration outside of a North Long Beach home. 

Police received multiple reports of shots fired in the 6500 block of Rose Ave. at around 10PM and arrived to find 26 year-old Sophon Kao and 24 year-old Jerry Chim deceased at the scene. The women, whose names are not being released, were transported to the hospital and are still in serious but stable condition. 

According to Police, the four victims were with a small group of friends in the alcove of the house near the intersection of Artesia Blvd. and Cherry Ave. when a suspect approached on foot and shot at them. No suspect information was given and reports of an involved vehicle have not been confirmed.
