Two men suffered non-life threatening injuries Saturday night after they were shot at near the border of Long Beach and Signal Hill.

Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of Lewis Avenue around 10:55PM after calls of shots heard in the area, said LBPD spokeswoman Nancy Pratt.

Arriving officers located two men with apparent gunshot injuries that were deemed to be non-life threatening.

Long Beach Fire Department personnel transported the men to local hospitals.

The incident is being investigated as possibly gang-related. No further information was available. We will update this story as we learn more.
