Two men were transported to a local hospital after they were struck by gunfire early Sunday evening on the 900 block of Daisy Avenue, police said.
At about 5:15PM, the two men were approached by a male suspect on foot, who fired at them before fleeing, said Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokeswoman Nancy Pratt.
Both men were struck and transported to a local hospital. One of the men sustained non-life threatening injuries, and information on the second victim’s injuries were not immediately available.
The incident is being investigated as possibly gang-related. It is unknown if the incident is related to a drive-by shooting that took place earlier Sunday afternoon around 4:00PM in the area of 14th Street and Raymond Avenue.
