A man and woman were injured in North Long Beach Tuesday afternoon in what is being investigated as a possibly gang-related shooting, authorities said.

Officers responded to a shots call at Long Beach Boulevard and Market Street at about 4:15PM yesterday.

“Upon arrival they found two victims, a female adult and a male adult, suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper torso,” said Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokesman Sgt. Brad Johnson.

The victims were transported to a local hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time.

Authorities are investigating the incident as possibly gang-related.
