Gunshots were fired at a vehicle in Long Beach and one of the occupants was wounded, authorities said today.

The shooting was reported at 11 p.m. Saturday at 14th Street and Redondo Avenue, Long Beach police Lt. Megan Zabel said.

Arriving officers located a vehicle struck multiple times that was occupied by a man and a woman, Zabel said.

The man was not wounded but the woman was suffering from “superficial wounds,” according to police.

The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment of wounds not believed to be life-threatening, Zabel said.

No suspect information was available, Zabel said. Gang detectives were investigating. They investigate all shootings, she said.
