A vehicle was struck by gunfire in the DeForest neighborhood of North Long Beach, Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
The shooting happened near 58th Street and Locust Avenue at 4:10 p.m., just a few blocks west of the Michelle Obama Neighborhood Library, according to Long Beach police spokesman Alvino Herrera.
The vehicle’s owner was not near it when the shooting happened and no other victims were located, Herrera said.
The suspect’s vehicle is a newer black sedan. The relationship between the suspect and the vehicle’s owner is unknown, officials said.
The investigation is ongoing.
