Two people who may have been injured were picked up by another driver after their vehicle crashed on the 710 Freeway in Long Beach Sunday, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The crash affected just one vehicle and occurred around 6:31AM Sunday on the 710 near the 405 interchange. The vehicle careened to the right side of the freeway and crashed, causing the car’s airbags to blow and smoke to come out of the vehicle, according to witnesses.

The Long Beach Fire Department dispatched firefighters at 6:41AM and found no one in the vehicle, according to the CHP. At 6:47PM, the CHP confirmed the two individuals in the impacted car were picked up by another driver.
