Police on Monday sent out a video and photo of an armed robber they’re trying to identify after he held up six businesses in the last few weeks around Long Beach.

The man robbed restaurants, a pet store and a wireless store between Nov. 27 and Dec. 7, police said.

“In each of the incidents, the suspect armed with a handgun approaches the cashier attempting to purchase an item. Once the cashier opens the till the suspect then robs the cashier and flees the location,” police said in a news release.

Video from one store’s security camera shows the man grabbing cash from a register drawer as the cashier tries to close it.

All the stick-ups happened between 4:45 p.m. and 10:40 p.m., police said. The locations of the robberies spanned from North Long Beach to East Long Beach to Downton, according to police, who provided an approximate address for each crime:

  • Nov. 27: 2100 block South Street
  • Nov. 27: 4000 block of Atlantic Avenue

  • Dec. 5: 1900 block of Ximeno Avenue
  • Dec. 5: 2500 block of Long Beach Boulevard
