Four people were arrested in a DUI saturation patrol conducted by the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) over the weekend, the LBPD announced in a statement Wednesday.

During the eight-hour operation, which lasted from 7:00PM Friday to 3:00AM Saturday, motor officers patrolled throughout Long Beach looking for impaired drivers.

During the course of the patrol, LBPD officers

    • Made three (3) DUI arrests
    • Made one (1) warrant arrest for suspended license
    • Conducted fifty-six (56) enforcement stops
    • Conducted thirteen (13) Standardized Field Sobriety Tests
    • Issued two (2) citations to drivers with suspended licenses
    • Impounded two (2) vehicles for suspended licensed drivers
    • Issued fifteen (15) traffic citations for unsafe driving

Funding for this program is from a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
