Police are investigating a woman’s death as a possible murder after authorities found her body Monday morning at a Long Beach home.

Officers were called to assist Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) personnel with a dead person at a residence on the 6700 block of Gardenia Avenue at 9:50AM on Monday, September 12, according to a release from the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD).

“Arriving officers found a female adult who sustained injuries to her upper body,” officials stated.

Homicide detectives also responded to investigate the death.

The coroner’s office will identify the victim once relatives have been notified.

Authorities do not know the motive for the murder. No suspect information is available at this time.
