A man was stabbed in Downtown Long Beach early Wednesday morning, but after he got to the hospital he wouldn’t tell officers any more about what happened, police said.

Officers tried to talk with the man after he arrived at a hospital around 2 a.m., Long Beach police spokesman Alvino Herrera said.

Police were able to determine the man had been stabbed in the torso near Pine Avenue and Broadway, but when officers got to the intersection, they couldn’t find any kind of crime scene, Herrera said.

“The victim would not provide any details about the incident or the suspect,” Herrera said.

The man’s wounds weren’t life-threatening, according to police.
