Long Beach police are investigating a Monday afternoon shooting that left a juvenile male victim with a non-life threatening gunshot injury in the Willmore area, authorities said.

Officers responded to the 800 block of Magnolia Avenue at about 12:30PM, Monday, July 6, to investigate shots heard in the area, Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokeswoman Marlene Arrona said.

Police then located a young man with a gunshot injury nearby, on the 800 block of Crystal Court.

The investigation is ongoing.
