Approximately 2,000 residents were impacted by downed power lines near the Long Beach Airport Wednesday afternoon, according to the Southern California Edison (SCE) outage map.

The estimated time of repair was slated for midnight on map.

Police warned of the outage in a tweet, sent around 6:00PM tonight:

The last major power outage that occurred in Long Beach took place last March, when 3,765 SCE customers were impacted by an outage that was centered at the intersection of Cherry Avenue and East Hill Street in Signal Hill.
