The Metro Blue Line’s downtown Long Beach station will be closed Wednesday evening to early Thursday morning due to a New Year’s Eve celebration, Metro officials announced.

The station, located at 128 West 1st Street, will be closed from 7:00PM Wednesday to 3:00AM Thursday.

During the closure, Blue Line trains will run every 10 minutes between the Seventh Street/Metro Center station in downtown Los Angeles to the Willow Street Station, then every 20 minutes between Willow Street and the First Street Station in Long Beach. A shuttle will also be offered every 20 minutes between the Anaheim Street and Pacific Avenue stations.

Metro passengers are advised to plan ahead.
